Learning new stuff

It is so frustrating learning new stuff.  I'm setting up shop sites and find it takes me ages to get to grips with how it all works..I put it down to my dyslexia, but maybe that's just me looking for an excuse.   I have so many ideas on the go, and can't wait to get some feedback about what folk like and don't. I am desperate to get down to the coast and work on some collages...so many ideas I'm dying to get on with.  I'm enjoying the process of making the collages so much and love them all so much.  Photographs don't seem to show them off.  It's great to have purchasers saying how much better the original is to the photo...but I always wonder if I'm losing sales because of that.Guess I'll never be satisfied.

catch-up.

I'm having so much fun creating my collages.  With three lovely, though time-consuming, dogs and a real love of the outdoors, especially in this improved weather, I couldn't be happier.  I've just bought some lovely fabrics to use in my landscapes, expensive, but beautiful colour and texture.  Most of the fabrics I use are silk, and recycled, and I choose beads carefully, concentrating on glass, wood, semi-precious stone and crystal.
At last I've got an Etsy shop on the go.  I've over 50 collages to upload, (it's taking a while).  I will offer some special offers, but I hope my prices are competitive anyway.  I think all art should be available to everyone, so I will offer a series of sizes that cater to all pockets.
Every piece will be a one-off, and I'm open to commissions.
I hope you'll follow and drop in now and again to check out what I'm doing.
And I'm always open to critique good and bad...if you want to air an opinion.

Liz

Fab exhibition I went to.

Earlier today I visited, (totally by chance) a brilliant exhibition of textile art.  I was so annoyed that I didn't have my camera with me because the work was so good.  I am going to try to attach some links to the group responsible for the exhibition.  The standard of work is superb, and the prices are (in my opinion) amazingly low for  the quality of work.
I would say, that the group should make linking with their site much easier, as it has taken me a long time to find a way of linking them up...I have persevered because I believed their work should be promoted.

I have spent a lot of time trying to make sure this link works....hope it does.  I love to promote great handmade work.

moving on to coastal scenes

I have had so much fun creating a number of collages based on our beautiful Welsh landscape.  I'm going to move on to the coast for a while...which I love equally well, sometimes, (summer) I love it even more.  So here are a last few recently completed landscapes.  Hope you like them.

new work

Will be making a move from the hills to the shore in my next block of collages, as well as concentrating on some tee shirt design, a painting and airbrush diversion.

today

Having great fun experimenting with different materials, most recycled.  Latest two pieces still in progress.  I wonder, has anyone else seen a huge white sun like that shown.  Must find out what it is called.

gallery

I wish the collages photographed better, however, I plan to post all I have finished to date.  Here are the first nine.  You may notice that one still has sewing needle attached. (I didn't notice until I saw the photo).
